DIY Project: Miu Miu Inspired Socks

Theyre finally here! My Miu Miu inspired socks. Today Deb Hodge said to me, "What do you make?" Well, this is me. More socks to come, as Im sock full of ideas. These socks were $2 at Marshalls. Theyre sheer and ribbed, just like the actual Miu Miu ones. When it came to embellishing though, I just couldnt go as far. I really liked the sporadic sparkle in the shape of Mary Engelbreit flowers. Im not a big fan of sequence anyway. I think these are very kate Spade. You can read more about these in an upcoming Altered Couture. Our Haute Hosiery challenge ends 6/15/10 (http://www.stampington.com/html/wanna_get_published.html#altered). What will you make?

  1. Very cute! And not at all like I was visualizing from your description.

It was very nice meeting you today. Thanks for showing me around Stampington. Just want to make sure it's okay to post the picture with those zipper shoes. If I don't hear from you, I'll assume it's fine.

Hope to see you again soon.

    Hugs,
    Tamerie

  4. I love this post, and am all about knee socks too. They will be a big feature in the girls outfits for my fashion show next week. I love the idea of embellishing them. Thanks for sharing, and putting this idea into my head!
