My Huckleberry Friend

Last night I went to the Fox Theater in Fullerton (http://www.foxfullerton.org/) where I curled up among blankets with good friends and watched my favorite movie, Breakfast at Tiffany's on the big screen outside. Audrey. Suede Gloves. Fluffy Uggs. Henry Mancini. Rings from Cracker Jack boxes. " 'I love you.' 'So What?' 'So plenty.'"
"The blues are because you're getting fat and maybe it's been raining too long, you're just sad that's all. The mean reds are horrible. Suddenly you're afraid and you don't know what you're afraid of. Do you ever get that feeling? Well, when I get it the only thing that does any good is to jump in a cab and go to Tiffany's. Calms me down right away. The quietness and the proud look of it; nothing very bad could happen to you there. If I could find a real-life place that'd make me feel like Tiffany's, then - then I'd buy some furniture and give the cat a name!"

*Note: The intermittent pictures of Audrey are from my home. I am obsessed.

  2. Love this post, I've watched this movie along with other audrey h. movies and she is my idol, literally I have a picture of her in a faux baroque frame in my studio. I live a very Audrey-esque life and can appreciate one Audrey obsessor to another! smiles
