A trend I am noticing for the Winter months that I think could carry elegantly into Spring and altering projects is that of the glove. These dainty things are for more than keeping your hands warm, they are accessories in their own right and therefore are blank canvases.
Add pins and ribbon over lace as this Etsian did, or wear a pair with cocktail rings over (http://www.mypreciousconfessions.blogspot.com/). This vintage white pair was a gift from a good friend (www.stuckonheads.blogspot.com) but you could also buy white gloves and sew a few beads here and there.
