The Accidental Purchase

I have a confession to make: I have never purchased anything from Anthropologie. Gift cards yes, but actual items, not so much.

It was a fluke that I wandered in there yesterday. I like going for inspirational purposes. They have the best decor! And since it's right next to Nordstrom at my mall, and I work for a company that reveres Anthropologie, I thought it would be fun to go in and escape.

Well, it's a lucky thing I did, because I had had my eye on this pajama set weeks ago (white with blue embroidered cherries - divine!) but it was too much money pre Vegas. So when I went back in I looked for this set, and luckily, it was on sale. It was meant to be. So, my first Anthro purchasing experience has officially taken place, and I got some great Instagram shots of the inspiration that is that store. Above are pictures of knobs, a notepad I adore, gorgeous fabric covered journals and my happy accidental purchase.

Happy shopping!

  2. So funny, I wandered into Anthro yesterday, too (for inspirational purposes as I often do). However, I came away empty handed, but inspired once again by the decor.

  3. You have to start sometime! I have three tops from Anthropologie that I couldn't live without -- haha! I was wearing one when we went out to lunch. But I confess I mostly go in to look at the props.

  4. Oh how darling Beth!! Just as cute as can be! I am just the same... I go in there for inspiration but I think I've only purchased about five items there since they've been around. The best deal I found there were upcycled cropped Levis that had been patched with several vintage fabric patches. It was around 15 years ago and the sales girl told me they had directly purchased about ten pair from one individual. I got them for 9.99 on the sale rack!

Hope you're having a wonderful week!
    Cheers,
    Holly

  5. My favorite store! Just love it. So much inspiration in there too! I only shop in the sale room. You were lucky to take some pics. I got yelled at when I tried one time yet I was able to capture a couple... Shhh. Cute P.J's!

    1. Oh really!!?? I had no idea pics were a no no...I feel like all stores are cracking down, which is silly, because it's giving the store great publicity when you share socially, right? I will be more stealth next time.
